Inspired by days spent at Queen Victoria market, the design celebrates market culture in Melbourne. Filling your bag with fresh foods, the illustrated pattern incorporates popular items that fill tote bags and trolleys of market goers who jump on the tram to take their goods home.

The illustrations have been hand painted using gouache and watercolour to create a composition that is adaptable and dynamic. Hand painting is a much slower and demanding process, providing the artwork with a sense of time luxury and slower culture, a nod to the slower process of shopping at local markets.
