Approaching the shared green spaces in the apartment building with an intimate view point, the series explores close up moments from time in the garden and the stillness that can be experienced when spending time outdoors.

A dragonfly lands on flowering grasses whilst a butterfly pauses to stop on a flower. The breeze blows the leaves and tools gather in nooks around the garden.

The series of paintings aim to bring a stillness, sense of peace, quiet and hum to the space. A reminder that the garden is filled with life, movement, growth, change and momentum that quietly ticks away outside.

The combination of tools and plants creates a dynamic design that depicts residents’ interactions with the green spaces, and how we must work with the garden to create a productive green space. It’s a collaboration, and a representation of community, togetherness, cohesion and synergy with one another and the green spaces we share.
